About the Artist

Jean Keller is a contemporary realist; known mainly for her seascapes, landscapes, big skies, and figurative images. An honest creator who makes art that requires little to no explanation; Jean paints from her heart with the goal of always establishing energy, light, and emotional presence. Through thoughtful brushwork, color, and approachable subject matter, her aim is not to provoke —but to please.

After earning her BFA in design, Jean embraced an award-winning career in Boston, MA — working in both large advertising agencies and small, boutique studios. She’s won numerous professional accolades for her design skills and is currently adding national and international award recognition to her fine art CV.

Her work has been shown in local museums, galleries and alternate venues. She is a Signature Member of the National Association of Women Artists (NY, MA chapters), an award-winning member of National Oil and Acrylic Painters (NOAPS), a juried member of the Oil Painters of America, and a supporting member of several other professional art groups including The Guild of Boston Artists.

“ I’m mainly a studio artist, but I spend as much time as possible outside — walking in nature — chasing sunsets — observing — and soaking up inspiration. My love for coastal imagery comes from growing up on a barrier island – just blocks from the sandy beach in Cape May County, NJ.”

Jean lives and works in Bristol, Rhode Island.
